Current Photo Print Product Options

The live calculator currently exposes Sizes, Total Picture, Printing Sides & Color, Paper Type and an Instruction – Qty for File field. The description should follow those fields instead of advertising finishes that are not selectable online.

Quantity FieldTotal Picture — Maximum 1000Count every printed copy, not only the number of unique image files
PrintingFull Color Printing Single SidedThe standard product prints one photographic image side
PaperSelect the Live Paper TypeThe exact active paper option should be the source of truth
MinimumFrom 1 PieceUseful for one-off photographs, gifts and test prints
Current paper-finish contradiction: the existing page says “gloss or matte” in several places, but its Paper Type description names only Premium Matte Photo Paper, while the public calculator crawl does not expose the dropdown values. Publish only the paper finishes that are actually selectable in the live Paper Type field.

Photo Print Size Selection

Select the exact size shown in the live Sizes dropdown. The existing content currently mentions the popular formats below, but the active calculator values should always take priority.

4R Photo PrintingPopular album and everyday photo size. Common finished size: 4" × 6".
5R Photo PrintingSuitable for albums, table frames, portraits and gifts.
6R Photo PrintingLarger personal photo format for portraits and display.
8R and Larger PrintsFor frames, wall displays, portfolios and presentation photographs.
A4 Photo PrintsUseful for portfolios, certificates with photographs and framed display.
A3 Photo PrintsSuitable for larger portraits, displays and presentation boards.
Large Photo EnlargementsOrder only sizes currently available in the calculator or confirmed by quotation.
Mixed SizesPlace different sizes as separate order items so every file follows the correct specification.
The old CMS lists 3R through A2 plus several inch sizes, while the CTA says “4R to A1”. These claims do not match each other. Do not hard-code a maximum size in the page until the active Sizes dropdown is confirmed.

How to Order Multiple Different Photos

You may combine different image files in one order when they use the same selected size, paper type and printing option. Mixed sizes should be ordered separately.

1. Select One Size Choose one photo size for the order item. Create another order item when a second size is required.
2. Enter Total Picture Add together all copies required. The field currently allows a maximum total of 1000 prints.
3. Add Copy Quantities If a photo needs more than one copy, state the quantity in the Instruction – Qty for File field or use a clear filename.
4. ZIP Multiple Images Place the final image files in one ZIP when required by the uploader. Remove duplicates and draft files before submitting.
5. Match the Total The sum of all image-copy quantities should equal the Total Picture number entered in the calculator.
6. Keep Specifications Consistent Every image in the same item follows the same selected size, paper and printing specification.
Example for a 4R order:
family-01.jpg x 4
graduation-02.jpg x 2
holiday-03.jpg x 1
Total Picture = 7

Prepare Photos for Sharper Printing

Use Original Image Files

Camera and smartphone originals generally contain more detail than images downloaded again from social media or messaging apps.

Aim for 300 DPI

Use enough pixels for the selected print size. Enlarging a small image cannot restore detail that is missing from the original.

Check Focus Before Uploading

Zoom into faces and important details. Printing can make blur, compression and camera noise more visible.

RGB or CMYK Files

The photo-specific upload guideline currently accepts either RGB or CMYK. Colour may still shift during the print workflow.

Expect Screen-to-Print Differences

Phones and monitors emit light; printed photos reflect light. Screen brightness and colour settings can make the same image look different.

Review Dark Photos Carefully

Very dark shadows and underexposed faces can lose detail in print. Submit the final corrected photo rather than relying on automatic editing.

Remove the old “2400 DPI max” marketing claim unless it is tied to a verified production-device specification. Printer engine resolution is not the same as the recommended resolution of the customer's photo file.

Photo Cropping, Borders and Aspect Ratio

A digital image may not have the same aspect ratio as the selected photo size. Cropping may therefore be required to fill the paper.

Keep Important Subjects Away from Edges Leave extra space around faces, text, logos and important objects so a small crop does not remove them.
Portrait or Landscape Confirm the intended orientation before upload and rotate the final file correctly.
Borderless Printing Do not promise borderless output unless the selected size and current production workflow specifically support it.
White Borders Add a white border into the final image itself when a specific border width is required, unless the product offers a dedicated border option.
No Standard Bleed The current photo-specific upload guideline says bleed is not required unless stated for the selected product or template.
Test Critical Crops For wedding groups, certificates, portfolios or photos with text near the edge, test one print before a large quantity.

Photo File Upload Guidelines

Upload final image files. Image Magic provides printing and a basic file preflight; the customer remains responsible for the final crop, image selection, colour edits, text and reproduction rights.

Preferred File Types
  • JPG or PNG is recommended for individual photographs.
  • PDF may be used where appropriate.
  • Use original high-resolution files when possible.
  • Avoid screenshots and repeatedly compressed copies.
Resolution
  • Aim for approximately 300 DPI at the selected print size.
  • The current page accepts 150–300 DPI, but higher-resolution originals are preferred.
  • Do not enlarge small files excessively.
  • Check faces and text at 100% view before uploading.
Colour Mode
  • The product-specific guideline accepts RGB or CMYK.
  • Do not expect a phone screen to match the print exactly.
  • Very bright RGB colours may reproduce less intensely in print.
  • Submit the final edited image rather than asking for automatic colour correction.
Multiple Image Files
  • Combine multiple images in a ZIP file when required by the uploader.
  • Use clear filenames.
  • Add copy quantities for files that need duplicates.
  • Ensure the total quantity matches Total Picture.
Orders Over 50MB
  • If the upload exceeds the website limit, use Upload Later.
  • Send the file through the approved large-file transfer workflow.
  • Always include the order number.
  • Do not send unlabelled files without an order reference.
Photo Rights and Privacy
  • Upload only photographs you are authorised to reproduce.
  • Review private family or customer images before submitting them.
  • Do not include unnecessary personal or sensitive information in filenames.
  • Delete draft and duplicate images from the final upload package.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I order only one photo?
The current page lists a minimum order of one piece, making the product suitable for one-off prints as well as larger mixed-image orders.
Can I mix different photos in one order?
Yes, when the images use the same size, paper type and printing specification. Mixed sizes should be placed as separate order items.
How do I order extra copies of one photo?
Add the required number of copies to the Instruction – Qty for File field or identify the quantity clearly beside the filename. Include every copy in Total Picture.
Do you print glossy and matte photos?
Choose only the finish currently shown in the live Paper Type selector. The old page is inconsistent about glossy and matte options, so the calculator should be treated as the source of truth.
Should I upload RGB or CMYK photos?
The current photo-specific upload guideline accepts both RGB and CMYK. Colour can still shift from screen to print, so use a high-quality final image and avoid judging colour only from phone brightness.
What resolution should my photo be?
Approximately 300 DPI at the final print size is preferred. The current upload guideline accepts 150–300 DPI, but lower-resolution images may appear softer, especially when enlarged.
How long does photo printing take?
The current description states approximately 1–2 working days depending on volume. Confirm the current schedule before placing an urgent order; delivery or collection time is separate.
What is the current starting price?
The current Photo Prints page and Photos & LOMO Cards category show a starting total of RM7.00. Confirm the selected size, paper type and quantity before checkout.
