Important product clarification: This is a foamboard framed-style wall display. It should not be described as a traditional photograph inserted into a wooden or glass picture frame.

Understanding the construction before ordering helps avoid confusion with photo-paper prints and canvas products.

Printed Foamboard Face

Your supplied image is reproduced on a lightweight 5mm Foamboard display surface.

Framed-Style Construction

The finished display uses a standard 1-inch (25.4mm) frame depth to create a dimensional wall-art appearance.

Border Treatment

Choose a black border, white border or allow the supplied artwork to continue into the border area.

Border Colour Options

Choose the border treatment that best matches your photograph or artwork.

Black Border

Creates a dark outer edge that works well with photographs containing darker colours or strong contrast.

White Border

Creates a clean lighter edge suitable for bright, minimalist and family-photo displays.

Follow Artwork Bleed

Uses the supplied artwork around the border area instead of applying a fixed black or white border treatment.

For Follow Artwork Bleed, make sure the image contains sufficient background around important faces, text and logos. Important details positioned too close to an edge may be affected by the framed construction.

Current Photo Frame Sizes

Prepare your image according to the exact size selected in the product calculator. The following sizes are currently shown in the product template area.

The old description lists 4R, 5R, 12 × 18 inch, 16 × 20 inch and 20 × 30 inch sizes. These do not match the current template list and should be removed unless they are added back to the live size selector.

Photo & Artwork Preparation Guidelines

Image quality is especially important when enlarging a photograph for wall display.

Accepted File Formats
  • JPG, PNG or PDF are recommended.
  • Use the original high-resolution image whenever possible.
  • Avoid screenshots and heavily compressed files.
Image Resolution
  • Approximately 300dpi at final size is recommended for the best close-view print quality.
  • A small image enlarged to a large frame can appear soft or pixelated.
  • Original camera or smartphone files are usually better than images downloaded from social media.
Aspect Ratio & Cropping
  • Match the image proportion to the selected frame size.
  • If the image ratio and selected size are different, some cropping may be necessary.
  • Do not stretch an image to force it into a different proportion.
Keep Important Details Safe
  • Keep faces, names, dates and logos away from the edges.
  • Allow extra background when Follow Artwork Bleed is selected.
  • Avoid placing important facial details directly against the frame edge.
RGB or CMYK?
  • RGB or CMYK files are accepted.
  • Photographs from cameras and phones are commonly supplied in RGB.
  • Printed colour can differ slightly from the brightness and colour shown on a screen.
Multiple Images or Designs
  • Quantity Per Design applies to one artwork.
  • Different photographs can be added as separate items when using the same specification.
  • Do not assume one quantity can automatically be divided among different photographs.
  • When supplying multiple related files, combine them clearly or use the upload workflow provided.

Production, Packing & Delivery

Production Time

Follow the current Production Time option displayed in the online calculator. Production begins after the order, payment and usable artwork are confirmed.

Packing

Select the Packing option currently available for the chosen frame size. Larger wall displays require more protective handling than small prints.

Delivery Time

Delivery or collection timing is separate from the selected production period.

Do not advertise “gift packaging” unless the selected Packing option specifically includes gift packaging. Likewise, only describe the product as ready-to-hang when the required hanging hardware is included with that size and configuration.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is this a traditional wooden photo frame?
No. The current product uses 5mm Foamboard with a 1-inch framed-style construction. It should not be confused with a photograph inserted into a separate wooden and glass picture frame.

What border colours are available?

Some cropping may be required when the photograph and selected frame size use different proportions. Keep important faces and text away from the edges.
Does production time include delivery?
