Cover Printing and Lamination Choices

Full Colour – Single Sided Supply cover artwork according to the single-sided cover template and page order.

Matte Lamination – Front and Back Provides a smoother, lower-reflection cover appearance.
Gloss Lamination – Front and Back Provides a shinier cover appearance with more reflection.

Artwork Preparation Guidelines

Prepare the cover and inner pages as separate print-ready files matching the selected A5 portrait configuration.

Recommended File Format
  • PDF is the preferred final format.
  • AI files are also accepted.
  • Place related source files into one ZIP file when required.
  • Supply separate files for the cover and inner content.
A5 Size and Orientation
  • Prepare the notebook at A5 portrait: 148 × 210mm.
  • Do not prepare a landscape file for a portrait order.
  • Use the current Soft Cover product guideline.
Bleed and Trim Safe Area
  • Add 3mm bleed on all sides when backgrounds or images extend to the edge.
  • Keep important text and logos at least 5mm inside the trimming edge.
  • Avoid thin borders close to the trim edge.
Wire-O Binding Margin
  • Leave approximately 12–15mm clear on the binding side.
  • Keep text, logos, page numbers and QR codes away from the punched-hole area.
  • Check whether left- and right-hand pages require mirrored binding margins.
Cover Artwork
  • Prepare full-colour cover artwork in CMYK.
  • Supply every cover face required by the selected single- or both-sided option.
  • Clearly identify the front cover, back cover and any printed inside faces.
  • Use images of approximately 300 DPI at final size.
Inner-Page Artwork
  • Prepare inner content in grayscale or suitable black-only artwork.
  • Supply pages in the correct reading order.
  • Maintain consistent margins and page orientation.
  • Do not submit colour-dependent inner artwork for the black-and-white print option.
Fonts and Images
  • Outline or embed all fonts.
  • Use approximately 300-DPI images at final size.
  • Embed linked images before exporting the final file.
  • Avoid low-resolution graphics copied from websites or messaging applications.
Custom Company Pages
  • Use the correct 4-, 8- or 12-sheet template.
  • Supply the custom pages in their final required order.
  • Clearly separate custom pages from standard ready-content artwork.
  • Confirm the final 80-sheet pagination before production.
Basic Artwork Check
  • A basic check may cover size, margins, binding direction and colour setup.
  • It is not a complete design, page-layout or proofreading service.
  • Customers remain responsible for page order, spelling, dates, contact details and QR codes.

Production Schedule
