Artwork Preparation Guidelines

Artwork is required only when a printing option is selected.

Artwork Size and Orientation
  • Finished graphic size: 600 × 900mm.
  • Prepare artwork in portrait orientation.
  • Work at actual size where possible.
  • Do not resize a smaller poster file to 60 × 90cm without checking image quality.
Bleed and Safe Area
  • Add 3mm bleed on all sides when background artwork reaches the edge.
  • Full artwork size with bleed: approximately 606 × 906mm.
  • Keep important text, logos and QR codes at least 10mm inside the finished edge.
  • Avoid placing thin borders immediately beside the trimming edge.
File Format and Resolution
  • PDF or AI is preferred for print-ready artwork.
  • High-resolution JPG may also be used where applicable.
  • 300 DPI at actual size is recommended.
  • Minimum 150 DPI may be acceptable for large-format images viewed from a normal display distance.
Colour and Fonts
  • Prepare print artwork in CMYK colour mode.
  • Convert fonts to outlines or embed them correctly.
  • Embed all linked images before exporting.
  • Screen colours may differ slightly from printed colours.
QR Codes and Important Information
  • Use a clear, high-contrast QR code.
  • Keep sufficient clear space around the QR code.
  • Test QR codes from the final exported artwork.
  • Check prices, dates, telephone numbers and event information before submitting.
Basic Artwork Check
  • Image Magic may perform a basic technical check for size, margins, bleed and colour setup.
  • The technical check is not a design or proofreading service.
  • Customers remain responsible for all wording, prices, dates and contact information.
  • Incorrect artwork may affect the selected production schedule.
