Material-name check: The exact transparent film grade, thickness and adhesive type should follow the wording shown in the current product calculator. Do not advertise OPP, PP, PVC, ultra-clear film, removable adhesive or permanent adhesive unless that exact specification is confirmed for this product.
Performance wording: Transparent synthetic film is suitable for normal moisture exposure, but final resistance depends on the print, white-ink coverage, lamination selection, adhesive, sticker edges, surface preparation and actual use. Do not promise dishwasher, freezer, chemical, prolonged immersion or permanent outdoor performance unless separately tested.

Choose the Correct Printing Colour Option

Standard CMYK inks are not fully opaque on transparent material. The product, liquid or surface behind the sticker will affect the final appearance unless selected artwork areas are backed with white ink.

Transparent Colour EffectFull Colour Printing – CMYK

Choose CMYK-only printing when a translucent appearance is intended. White artwork will not print automatically and will appear clear. Best suited to white, pale or carefully selected clear backgrounds.

White ArtworkWhite Colour Only – 1C

Choose white-only printing for white logos, text, symbols or simple artwork on clear film. Supply the required white elements as solid vector artwork.

Higher OpacityWhite Colour with Full Colour – 1C + 4C

Choose white plus CMYK when printed colours need stronger visibility, especially on dark, coloured or visually busy surfaces. A separate white-ink mask is required.

Option matching: Use CMYK-only when transparency is part of the design. Use white-only for visible white artwork. Use white plus CMYK when colour opacity and contrast are important.
White ink improves opacity but cannot make every design look identical on every bottle, jar or background. Very fine white masks may show a small registration tolerance against the colour layer.

How the Product Options Match the Finished Sticker

Sticker Size Select the final cut size of one sticker. Upload artwork at the same finished dimensions and add the required bleed outside the cut line.
Quantity Per Design The selected quantity applies to one artwork. Different names, flavours, colours or product versions are separate designs.
Printing Colour Match CMYK-only, white-only or white-plus-CMYK to the actual artwork layers and the colour of the application surface.
Sticker Shape Choose rectangle, square, circle, oval or custom shape according to the cut line supplied in the print-ready file.
Sticker Cut Type Choose individual die-cut pieces, one kiss-cut sticker on one backing piece, or multiple kiss-cut stickers arranged on one sheet.
Production Time Select an available schedule only after the artwork, white-ink layer and cut line are ready. Delivery time is calculated separately.

The sticker and backing are cut into separate individual pieces. Choose this for giveaways, hand distribution, separate packing or ready-to-use product labels.

Single Kiss Cut in Single Piece

One sticker is cut through the transparent face material while the surrounding backing remains intact, making the sticker easier to peel and present.

Multiple Kiss Cut in Single Sheet Piece

Multiple labels are kiss-cut on one backing sheet for organised storage, repeated application and easy handling during packing.

How Transparent Stickers Will Look on Your Product

Clear or White Background CMYK colours are generally easier to see, although unbacked colours will still retain some transparency.
Dark or Coloured Background Use a white underbase behind important colours, small text, barcodes or logos that require stronger contrast.
Coloured Liquid Inside a Bottle The liquid becomes part of the visual background and can change the perceived colour of any artwork without white ink.
Glass and Acrylic Clear film can create a printed-on-surface effect, but sticker edges, adhesive texture, dust and air bubbles may remain visible.
QR Codes and Barcodes Provide sufficient white backing and quiet space. Test scanning on the real product background before ordering a large quantity.
Inside-Glass Application Reverse printing and the white-ink layer order must be confirmed when the sticker will be applied inside glass and viewed from outside.
A monitor preview cannot fully reproduce the final transparent effect. When colour accuracy, barcode scanning or small text is critical, test a printed sample on the actual product or a closely matching surface.

Transparent Sticker Artwork Guidelines

Upload print-ready artwork. Image Magic provides printing and a basic file preflight; the customer remains responsible for the final design, dimensions, spelling, transparent areas, white-ink mask and cut shape.

Print Artwork File
  • Recommended formats: PDF, AI or EPS.
  • Prepare colour artwork in CMYK.
  • Use approximately 300 DPI at the final printed size for raster images.
  • Outline or embed all fonts.
  • Match the artwork dimensions to the size selected online.
Transparent Areas
  • Leave areas genuinely empty when the material must remain transparent.
  • Do not use a white fill to represent transparency.
  • Remove hidden backgrounds and unwanted clipping masks.
  • Review the design against a colour similar to the actual product surface.
White-Ink Layer
  • Provide a separate vector layer named “White” or “White Ink”.
  • Use solid spot colour shapes to show the exact white areas.
  • White-only artwork and white underbase artwork must be clearly distinguished.
  • Do not use opacity, shadows or gradients in the white mask.
  • Avoid very fine white elements that may be difficult to register.
Cut Line, Bleed and Safe Area
  • Add 3mm bleed when colour reaches the sticker edge.
  • Supply the cut path as a separate vector layer or clearly labelled spot line.
  • Keep important text and logos at least 3mm inside the cut line.
  • Avoid unnecessarily sharp internal corners and extremely complex cut paths.
Barcodes, QR Codes and Small Text
  • Use a white underbase behind critical machine-readable codes.
  • Maintain sufficient contrast and quiet space.
  • Avoid very small reversed text or thin lines.
  • Test the code on the actual bottle, box or surface before bulk production.
Multiple Designs
  • The minimum quantity applies to each individual artwork.
  • Different flavours, names, colours or sizes are separate designs.
  • Clearly label every file and confirm its matching quantity.
  • Use the sheet format only when the selected order setup permits multiple labels on one sheet.

How to Apply Transparent Stickers Cleanly

  1. Clean the Surface Remove dust, oil, moisture and fingerprints, then let the surface dry completely.
  2. Check Position Align the label before the adhesive touches the surface, especially on bottles and clear packaging.
  3. Apply Gradually Press from one side toward the other to reduce trapped air, wrinkles and visible bubbles.
  4. Press the Edges Rub the full label firmly and allow the adhesive to settle before exposing it to moisture.

Frequently Asked Questions

Will white artwork print on transparent stickers?
White artwork prints only when white ink is selected and included in the supplied white-ink layer. Without white ink, white areas become transparent.
Why do printed colours look lighter on clear film?
CMYK ink is not completely opaque. The bottle, liquid, packaging or surface behind the sticker affects the final colour unless a white underbase is printed.
Which option should I use for a dark bottle?
White colour with full-colour printing is normally the safer setup because the white underbase improves opacity and contrast.
Are transparent stickers waterproof?
The synthetic film is suitable for normal moisture exposure, but complete performance depends on the ink, lamination, adhesive, edges, surface preparation and cleaning method.
Can transparent stickers be applied inside a window?
Inside-glass application may require reverse printing and a different white-ink layer order. Confirm the viewing direction before ordering.
Do transparent stickers remove without residue?
Do not assume clean removal unless the calculator specifically states removable or non-residual adhesive. Choose Static Cling Stickers when temporary no-adhesive glass application is required.

When submitting artwork, provide a separate layer named “White” (or spot colour) to indicate areas where white ink should be printed.

  • Layer 1: Full-colour CMYK artwork (your design)

  • Layer 2: Solid shape areas for white ink base (magenta or Pantone spot colour)

  • We will print white ink first, then CMYK on top.
