Solid Vinyl ColourCut Only

Use an ORACAL 651 colour when the finished result should use the vinyl's existing solid colour with no ink printing.

A print-and-cut sticker may include a printed background, outline or border when it forms part of the submitted artwork. ORACAL cut-only lettering normally leaves only the individual letters or logo shapes after application.

Cut-Only ORACAL Artwork
  • Use clean vector shapes for all letters and logo elements.
  • Avoid gradients, shadows, transparency and photographic effects.
  • The selected vinyl colour provides the final colour.
  • Use sufficiently thick strokes and avoid excessively small cut details.
3M Print-and-Cut Artwork
  • Prepare printed colours in CMYK where possible.
  • Use suitable-resolution images at the final output size.
  • Include the intended background, border or outline in the final artwork.
  • Keep important text and logo details safely inside the cut edge.
Surface Preparation
  • Apply to a clean, dry and dust-free smooth surface.
  • Remove oil, wax and loose contamination before installation.
  • Test a small area before applying to painted walls or sensitive finishes.

Outside or Inside Window Application
The current Front View Cutting option is intended for application to the outside or front-facing surface. Contact Image Magic before ordering when reverse or mirror cutting is required for inside-window installation.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the difference between Print CMYK and Cut Only?
Print CMYK and Cut reproduces full-colour artwork on printable 3M vinyl before contour cutting. Cut Only uses a solid-colour ORACAL 651 vinyl with no ink printing.
Will the sticker have a background?
ORACAL cut-only lettering normally has no printed background. A 3M print-and-cut sticker may include a printed background, outline or border when it forms part of the supplied artwork.
Is transfer tape included?
Yes. Transfer tape holds separate letters and logo elements in alignment during installation.
Can I order only one piece?
Yes. The product starts from one piece, with pricing based on size, selected material and artwork complexity.
Can it be installed inside a window?
