Printing and Card Layout

Full Colour Both Sides The current product uses full-colour printing on both sides rather than a separate single-sided option.
Front Artwork Use the main front panel for your greeting, photograph, campaign visual or company branding.
Inside Message Add your supplied greeting, message, logo or other artwork to the inside panels where applicable.
Back Panel Add a company logo, contact information or small acknowledgement when required.
Portrait Choose portrait when the artwork is designed around a taller card presentation.
Landscape Choose landscape when the artwork is designed around a wider card presentation.

Paper and Lamination

Select a Paper Type currently available in the calculator, then choose whether matte lamination is required.

No Lamination Keeps the natural surface characteristics of the selected card stock.
Matte Lamination Both Sides Adds a smooth, lower-glare laminated finish to both printed surfaces.
Select Paper Before Finishing Surface appearance and writing characteristics vary according to the chosen card stock.
If the card needs to be handwritten after printing, choose a suitable unlaminated/writable paper option and test the intended pen or marker first.

Artwork Preparation Guidelines

Prepare the complete greeting-card artwork according to the exact size, orientation and panel layout selected.

File Format and Colour
  • PDF is the preferred print-ready format.
  • AI artwork is also accepted.
  • Prepare artwork in CMYK colour mode.
  • Images should be approximately 300 DPI at final size.
  • Convert fonts to outlines or embed them correctly.
Artwork Size
  • Artwork must match the exact greeting-card size selected in the calculator.
  • Do not use the old A5/A6 guideline unless that is the actual selected product size.
  • Use the downloadable template corresponding to your selected size and orientation.
Bleed and Safe Area
  • Add 3mm bleed on all sides when artwork extends to the edge.
  • Extend backgrounds and photographs fully into the bleed.
  • Keep important text and logos approximately 3–5mm from trim and fold lines.
Folded Card Layout
  • Prepare the full artwork according to the selected greeting-card template.
  • Confirm the front cover, inside panels and back panel are in the correct order.
  • Keep important text and QR codes away from the fold line.
  • Check orientation so all content reads correctly after folding.
Multiple Designs
  • Quantity is selected per individual design.
  • One selected quantity should not be divided between unrelated artworks.
  • Multiple artworks using the same specification and quantity can be added as separate items.
Basic Artwork Check
  • Image Magic performs a basic technical check for size, margins and colour setup.
  • Minor technical adjustments may be made where appropriate.
  • This is not a full design or proofreading service.
  • Customers remain responsible for names, messages, dates and contact information.
Personalised Names or Messages
  • Standard orders use one supplied artwork per design.
  • If every card requires a different name, message or signature, confirm variable-data printing separately before ordering.
  • Do not assume personalisation is included unless it has been confirmed.
Artwork Submission
  • Upload complete artwork before 5:00 PM for the applicable production schedule.
  • Late or incorrect files may affect completion.
  • If artwork is uploaded later, include the order number with the submitted file.

Production and Delivery

Select the required Production Time from the live product calculator. Production begins after the order, payment and suitable print-ready artwork have been completed within the applicable cut-off.

Courier delivery time is separate from production time. Allow additional delivery time when the greeting cards are required for a specific festive date, event or campaign.

How to Order Greeting Cards

  1. Select Size Choose one of the six available card dimensions.
  2. Select Options Choose orientation, paper, lamination and production time.
  3. Prepare Artwork Use the exact template with correct panel orientation.
  4. Upload and Order Submit the complete print-ready greeting-card artwork.

What greeting-card sizes are available?
Current sizes are 4 × 12, 5 × 14, 6 × 16, 6 × 8, 7 × 10 and 8 × 12 inches.
Can I choose portrait or landscape?
Yes. The product calculator provides portrait and landscape orientation options.
Are greeting cards printed on both sides?
Yes. The current standard printing option is full-colour printing on both sides.
Is matte lamination available?
Yes. Choose no lamination or matte lamination on both sides.
Are envelopes included?
Envelopes are not currently shown as a standard selectable option in the product calculator. Confirm separately if envelopes are required.
Can every card have a different name or message?
Individual variable-name or variable-message printing is not currently shown as a standard product option. Confirm the data setup and pricing separately.
What artwork format is recommended?
PDF is preferred and AI is also accepted. Prepare artwork in CMYK with approximately 300 DPI images and the required bleed.
How long does production take?
Choose the available Production Time from the live product calculator. Courier delivery time is additional.
