Current Event Name Tag Product Options

The current direct-order calculator exposes four main fields: Sizes, Quantity Per Name with Personalization, Card Paper Type, and Printing Sides & Color. The description should follow these fields and should not present separate accessories as included options.

SizesSelect the Event Badge FormatUse the exact size currently shown in the calculator
QuantityQuantity Per NameEnter the number of identical copies required for each attendee
MaterialCard Paper TypeSelect the stock that matches the event environment and holder
PrintingSingle or Both SidesFull-colour printing according to the selected option
Option-matching rule: Lanyards, PVC holders, hole punching, lamination and thick PVC cards should not be described as standard selectable options unless they appear in the live calculator. Quote or order those items separately when required.
The exact size names, card-stock names, grammage, thickness and production schedule shown in the calculator take priority over descriptive examples in this page.

How the Online Options Match the Finished Name Tag

Sizes Select the final trimmed badge size. Prepare the artwork using the matching downloadable template and orientation.
Quantity Per Name with Personalization Enter how many identical tags are required for each unique attendee. One person or one unique data record counts as one name set.
Card Paper Type Choose the exact paper or synthetic stock displayed in the calculator. The material selection affects stiffness, moisture resistance, writing performance and compatibility with holders.
Full Colour Printing Single Sided Upload only the front artwork when the reverse side is intentionally left unprinted.
Full Colour Printing Both Sided Upload separate front and back artwork. Keep orientation and reading direction consistent on both sides.
Variable Attendee Information Supply an Excel or CSV file for names, companies, titles, categories, serial numbers, barcodes or QR-code values.

Choosing an Event Name Tag Size

Choose a badge large enough for the attendee name to remain readable from a practical networking distance. The sizes below are common formats described on the current page; order only a size that is available in the live calculator.

Compact BadgeA7

Suitable for shorter names, simple event branding and compact workshop or training badges.

More Layout SpaceA6

Provides more room for a large attendee name, company, category, event logo and scannable QR code.

Conference Format95mm × 135mm

Suitable for exhibition, conference and multi-line attendee information when the matching holder or finishing is confirmed.

A credit-card-sized 90mm × 54mm badge provides less space for large event names and attendee details. For durable employee-style cards, compare the dedicated PVC ID Card product instead.

Choosing the Correct Card Paper Type

The live field is named Card Paper Type. Select only a stock that appears in the calculator and use the material description below as application guidance rather than as a substitute for the live specification.

Dry Indoor EventsArt Card Name Tags

Suitable for conferences, seminars, workshops and exhibitions in dry indoor environments. Heavier card feels more rigid, while the final surface depends on the selected stock and any confirmed finish.

Moisture and HandlingSynthetic Name Tags

Choose a synthetic stock only when it appears in Card Paper Type. Synthetic material can provide improved water and tear resistance, but final performance depends on the exact stock, print and finishing.

Different ProductThick PVC Identification Cards

A credit-card-style PVC badge is better handled through the ID Card product unless the same material is explicitly available in the Name Tag calculator.

View PVC ID Cards
A PVC holder insert is a use or accessory format, not a paper material. Do not list “PVC Holder Insert” as a Card Paper Type unless that exact material name appears in the calculator.
Do not guarantee that a synthetic tag is writable. Pen and marker performance varies by surface coating, ink type and drying time. Test the intended pen on the actual stock before the event.

Personalised Attendee Names and Variable Data

One event design can be merged with customer-supplied attendee data. Prepare the list carefully because spelling, company names, categories and encoded values are printed from the approved data file.

Attendee Name Use the final spelling and capitalisation. Keep names in a dedicated spreadsheet column.
Job Title and Company Keep long titles concise enough for the approved text area and supply company names consistently.
Attendee Category Add fields such as Speaker, Delegate, Exhibitor, VIP, Crew, Media or Visitor when category identification is required.
QR Code Supply the final URL or encoded value for every attendee. Test the printed code using the intended scanning device.
Barcode or Serial Number State the barcode type and format number columns as text so leading zeros are not removed.
Duplicate Copies Use Quantity Per Name when selected attendees require more than one identical tag.
Recommended spreadsheet structure: one row equals one unique name tag. Suggested columns include Name, Job Title, Company, Category, Serial Number, QR Value, Barcode Value and Quantity Per Name.

QR Code and Barcode Printing Guidelines

Use Final Data Submit the destination URL or encoded text rather than a screenshot when codes are generated from variable data.
Maintain Contrast Use a dark code on a clean light background with sufficient quiet space around it.
Avoid the Trim Edge Keep every code inside the safe area and away from punch holes, holder clips and rounded corners.
Use a Practical Size Do not reduce codes merely to fit more text. Scanning reliability depends on code density, print size and device distance.
Test a Printed Sample Scan the actual printed badge under expected event lighting before approving a large personalised run.
Not an Access-Control System A printed QR code or barcode does not include attendance software, database integration or electronic access control unless separately supplied.

Lanyards, Holders and Attachment Options

Select the printed name tag first, then confirm the correct attachment separately. The badge size, orientation and material must fit the chosen holder or clip.

Separate ProductCustom Printed Lanyards

Order branded lanyards separately when you require a printed logo, event name, buckle, plastic clip or a particular hook type.

View Custom Lanyards
Confirm Fit FirstPVC Badge Holders

Confirm the holder's internal width, height and portrait or landscape orientation before ordering the printed inserts.

Direct AttachmentHole Punching

Use a punch hole only when it is available or separately confirmed. Keep names, logos and QR codes away from the punch position.

Do not state a standard lanyard width, length or colour range on this page. The current Lanyard product has its own sizes, materials and hook choices, which may change independently from the Name Tag product.

  • Check the correct rotation for landscape and portrait badges.
Multiple Event Categories
  • Use a Category column for Speaker, VIP, Exhibitor, Crew or other groups.
  • Confirm whether categories share one layout or require separate artwork.
  • Different base designs may need separate order items.
  • Do not split one selected quantity across unrelated specifications.
Data Privacy and Approval
  • Submit only attendee information you are authorised to print.
  • Avoid collecting unnecessary personal or sensitive data.
  • Use a secure transfer method for attendee lists.
