Uncoated Business Cards on FSC Paper Options

Print professional business cards on distinctive uncoated paper. Choose white felt-textured Modigliani Candido 260gsm or off-white Conservation FSC 270gsm, with full-colour printing on one or both sides and optional four rounded corners.

Important paper clarification: The available stocks should not both be described as 100% recycled paper. Modigliani Candido is an FSC-certified paper manufactured from virgin cellulose. FSC certification concerns responsible sourcing and does not automatically mean that a paper contains 100% recycled fibre.

Current Product Specifications

Standard Artwork Sizes Current artwork templates include 90 × 54mm and 85 × 55mm. Select the size enabled in the calculator and use its matching template.
Minimum Quantity From 100 pieces per design. Each different artwork requires its own quantity.
Printing Full-colour single-sided or full-colour both-sided printing.
Paper Choices Modigliani Candido FSC 260gsm or Conservation FSC 270gsm.
Surface Uncoated paper surface. No lamination option is currently shown in the calculator.
Corner Finishing Sharp corners or four rounded corners.

Black-only printing, UV printing, White Ink, lamination and custom die cutting are not currently displayed as standard selectable options.

The two stocks have different colour, texture and fibre characteristics. Select the paper that best matches the supplied artwork and brand appearance.

White Textured Paper Modigliani Candido FSC 260gsm

A white, felt-marked specialty paper with a lightly textured surface and firm card feel.

Verify the current supplier certificate and exact recycled-fibre percentage before publishing a specific recycled-content claim.

Printing on Uncoated Eco Paper

Natural Paper Texture Paper texture and fibre characteristics form part of the finished appearance.
Softer Printed Colours Colours may appear softer than the same artwork printed on coated white art card.
Paper Shade Affects Colour The off-white Conservation paper can make printed colours appear warmer.
White Areas Remain Paper Colour White objects in ordinary CMYK artwork are not printed with white ink.
Bold Artwork Is Recommended Solid colours, clear logos and readable text generally reproduce more clearly.
Avoid Very Fine Details Thin lines and very small text can lose clarity on a textured, absorbent surface.
White Ink is not currently shown as an option for this product. Choose the separate Brown Kraft Business Card product when supplied white-ink printing is required.

Uncoated Surface and Handling

Natural Paper Feel The cards are supplied without a plastic laminated layer.
Generally Writable The uncoated surface is generally suitable for writing with ordinary pens.
Suitable for Stamping Can be suitable for appointment, loyalty and simple stamp-card applications.
Test the intended pen or stamp when drying time or smudge resistance is important. Uncoated paper should not be described as waterproof or wipe-clean.

Corner Finishing

Sharp Corners Traditional rectangular business-card finishing.
Four Rounded Corners All four corners receive the rounded-corner finish.
Same Selected Size Corner rounding changes the outline but not the selected card dimensions.

Artwork Preparation Guidelines

Submit final print-ready artwork matching the selected size and printing sides.

File Format and Colour
  • PDF is the preferred print-ready format.
  • AI files are also accepted.
  • Prepare colour artwork in CMYK.
  • Use images of approximately 300 DPI at final size.
  • Convert fonts to outlines or embed them correctly.
Size and Bleed
  • Artwork must match the size selected in the calculator.
  • Current templates include 90 × 54mm and 85 × 55mm.
  • Add 3mm bleed when backgrounds extend to the edge.
  • Extend background images and colours completely through the bleed.
Safe Area
  • Keep important text and logos at least 3–5mm inside the trimming edge.
  • Keep QR codes clear of trimming and corner areas.
  • Avoid thin borders positioned close to the edge.
Front and Back Artwork
  • Upload one front file for single-sided printing.
  • Upload clearly labelled front and back files for both-sided printing.
  • Check the back orientation before submission.
Designing for Uncoated Paper
  • Avoid very thin lines and very small text.
  • Use solid colours and clear typography.
  • Remember that pure white areas show the natural paper colour.
  • Black text normally provides the strongest readability.
Basic File Check
  • Image Magic may perform a basic check for size, margins and colour setup.
  • This check is not a design, layout or proofreading service.
  • Customers remain responsible for spelling, names, contact details and QR codes.
Artwork Submission
  • Upload complete artwork before 5:00 PM for the selected production schedule.
  • Late or incorrect files may affect production and delivery timing.
  • Combine multiple related files into one ZIP file when necessary.
Multiple Designs
  • The minimum quantity applies to each design.
  • Different employee names are separate artwork versions.
  • One quantity cannot be divided among several different designs.
