Personalisation and Variable Data Printing

Sequential Numbering Add unique serial, campaign, voucher or reference numbers.
QR Codes Generate different QR codes using the exact supplied values.
Barcodes Add individual or sequential barcode information.

Targeted Messages Change selected text according to customer groups or campaigns.
Special coding, complex data arrangements or multiple variable fields may require additional setup and quotation. QR codes and barcodes should be tested before approving a large production quantity.

Artwork and Data Guidelines

Artwork File Requirements
  • Prepare the artwork according to the selected finished postcard size.
  • Add 3 mm bleed on every side.
  • Keep important text, logos and contact details at least 5 mm inside the finished edge.
  • Use CMYK colour mode for more predictable printed colour reproduction.
  • Images should be approximately 300 dpi at actual size.
  • PDF is preferred. AI and EPS files may also be supplied.
  • Convert fonts to outlines or ensure all fonts are correctly embedded.
  • Front and back artwork should be clearly identified when ordering double-sided printing.
Variable Data File Requirements
  • Supply names, numbers, QR values or barcode data in Excel or CSV format.
  • Use one recipient or postcard record per row.
  • Use clear column headings for every variable field.
  • Separate names, numbers, voucher codes and URLs into individual columns.
  • Do not use merged cells, hidden rows or unclear abbreviations.
  • Check all spelling, numbering and code values before submitting the final file.
  • Changes after proof approval may affect the price and completion date.

The minimum order starts from 10 pieces. Larger quantities are also available for promotions, events and direct-mail campaigns.
What postcard sizes are available?
Standard choices include A6, A5 and DL. Custom sizes may also be produced according to your artwork and requirements.
Can I write on the postcard?
Yes. Choose a suitable writable paper or keep the writing side unlaminated. Please confirm your intended writing method when selecting the material and finishing.
Can every postcard have a different name or code?
Yes. Names, numbering, QR codes, barcodes, voucher codes and selected messages can be changed on every postcard using the data supplied in your Excel or CSV file.
Is FSC-certified paper available?
Yes. Selected FSC-certified card stocks are available upon request and are subject to current material availability.
How long does postcard printing take?
Standard production is approximately 2–4 working days after payment and final artwork approval. Express production of approximately 1–2 working days may be available upon request.
