Die-cut folded cards combine a shaped outer profile with a centre fold, giving you a more distinctive presentation than a standard rectangular card. They are suitable for vouchers, invitations, promotions, product inserts, campaign cards and other creative marketing pieces.

Lower-Cost Option Brand Collaboration

A collaborative version offered at a more affordable rate. The final design retains Image Magic's product link and product description.

  • Designed around the available collaboration format.
  • Butterfly, Flower and Coffee templates are available.
  • Image Magic product information remains part of the finished design.
Standard-Rate Option Custom Made

Choose this option when the finished card should use your supplied branding and artwork without Image Magic product details appearing on the design.

  • Suitable for customer-supplied custom artwork.
  • A suitable die-cut and folding layout is required.
  • Image Magic product information is not included in the finished artwork.
Important: Brand Collaboration is not the same as Custom Made. Customers who do not want Image Magic product information on their card should select Custom Made.

120 × 60mm and 270 × 120mm are different measurements. The 120 × 60mm measurement refers to the centre folded panel shown in the product calculator. The artwork guideline separately states a maximum overall artwork area of 270 × 120mm. Always use the correct template for the selected design.

The preset shapes are not simply rectangular cards with rounded corners. Use the matching downloadable template so the artwork, fold position and die-cut edge align correctly.

Paper and Printing

260gsm Art Card Current product description lists this as an available paper option.
310gsm Art Card Heavier art card currently listed for this product.
Full-Colour CMYK Suitable for supplied logos, photographs, graphics and promotional information.
Single-Sided Printing This is the printing configuration currently displayed in the direct-order calculator.
Die Cutting The outside profile follows the selected or approved cutting outline.
Centre Folding Creasing is positioned according to the selected folded card template.
Double-sided printing should not be advertised unless it is added to the product calculator. The current online configuration displays Full Colour Printing Single Sided.

Die cutting and folding are the defining finishing processes for this product.

Custom Die CuttingProduces the selected outer shape.

Artwork Preparation Guidelines

Die-cut folded cards require more accurate artwork setup than ordinary flat cards. Use the matching product template.

File Format and Colour
  • PDF is preferred for print-ready artwork.
  • AI files are also suitable.
  • Prepare artwork in CMYK colour mode.
  • Raster images should be approximately 300 DPI at final size.
  • Convert fonts to outlines or embed them correctly.
Bleed and Cut Safe Area
  • Add 3mm bleed when backgrounds extend to the edge.
  • Extend colours and images completely through the bleed.
  • Keep important text and logos at least 3–5mm inside the die-cut edge.
  • Allow extra space around tight curves, corners and narrow die-cut areas.
Fold Safe Area
  • Keep important content at least 3–5mm away from the fold line.
  • Do not place small text directly across the fold.
  • Keep the fold line on a guide layer rather than printing it as part of the finished artwork.
  • Heavy ink coverage directly over a fold can show minor cracking after folding.
Die-Cut Line Setup
  • Supply the die-cut line as a clean vector path.
  • Keep the cut line on a separate clearly labelled layer.
  • Use no fill on the die-cut path.
  • Do not flatten or rasterise the vector cutting line.
  • Use the official Butterfly, Flower, Coffee or Custom Made template where applicable.
Basic Artwork Check
  • Image Magic may perform a basic technical check for size, margins, fold area, cut line and colour.
  • Minor technical adjustments may be applied where necessary.
  • This is not a complete design, copywriting or proofreading service.
  • Customers remain responsible for wording, prices, dates, contact details and QR-code content.
Multiple Designs and Upload Timing
  • The minimum quantity applies to each individual design.
  • One quantity cannot be divided between several different artworks.
  • Additional designs may be added when they use the same specifications and quantity.
  • Upload complete artwork before 5:00 PM to avoid unnecessary production delay.

Production and Delivery

Page-Listed Production The current product description states approximately 3–5 working days.
Artwork Must Be Accepted Incorrect die lines, folds or file setup may delay production.
Delivery Is Additional Courier or collection time should be planned separately from production.
For clearer ordering, the confirmed production time should also be displayed as a product-calculator field rather than appearing only in the description.
