What Is a COLOP Self-Inking Stamp?

Built-In Ink Pad The stamp mechanism automatically contacts an internal ink pad after each impression.
Replaceable Pad The internal pad can be replaced with the compatible COLOP spare pad when required.
Ready for Repeated Use Designed for convenient repetitive document and office stamping without using a separate external ink pad.
A COLOP Standard Stamp is a self-inking stamp. It is different from a pre-inked gel stamp, which stores ink within the stamp material itself.

Choose the Correct COLOP Model & Size

The product range contains many stamp formats. Choose the exact model and impression size shown in the product calculator, then prepare artwork using its matching guideline.

Rectangle Suitable for names, company details, addresses, signatures and longer office wording.
Square Suitable for compact company chops, logos and approval layouts.
Round Suitable for circular company, organisation and approval stamp designs.
Oval Available for suitable oval logo and company-stamp layouts.
Triangle Select a triangular model only when that exact model is required for the artwork.
Date / Numbering Models Selected models include integrated date, time/date or numbering functions.
Model codes and sizes are not interchangeable. Always use the downloadable template for the exact model selected in your order.

Artwork Preparation Guidelines

Prepare simple, high-contrast vector artwork at the exact impression size of the selected COLOP model.

Recommended File Format
  • AI or PDF vector artwork is recommended.
  • Prepare one final flat artwork file.
  • Convert all fonts to outlines.
  • Artwork dimensions must match the selected COLOP stamp model.
Black & White Artwork
  • Prepare production artwork in black and white.
  • Use solid shapes rather than photographs, gradients, shadows or textures.
  • Select the required final ink colour separately in the product options.
Text & Line Thickness
  • Approximately 6pt or larger text is recommended for good readability.
  • Use line thickness of approximately 0.25–0.3pt or greater.
  • Leave sufficient spacing between small text lines to reduce ink merging.
Logo Artwork
Simple vector logos with clear solid shapes reproduce best. Fine gradients, photographs, shadows and complex texture effects should be simplified for stamp use.
Signature Artwork
Supply a clean high-contrast signature. Very light, broken or extremely fine signature strokes may need to be strengthened for clear stamping.
Date & Numbering Models
When selecting a date, time/date or numbering model, use the matching model template so custom text and the mechanical date or numbering area are positioned correctly.
Multiple Stamp Designs
  • Quantity is selected per design.
  • Different stamp artworks should be ordered as separate items.
  • Additional designs with the same specification and quantity may be added separately.
Artwork Submission
  • Upload one final artwork file per order item.
  • Upload artwork before 5:00 PM for the applicable production schedule.
  • A basic technical check is performed for size, margins and stamp-production suitability.
  • Customers remain responsible for supplied wording, names and contact details.

Replacement Ink Pads

COLOP self-inking stamps use model-specific internal spare pads. When the pad becomes worn or no longer produces an even impression, replace it with the compatible COLOP pad code for your stamp model.

Replacement pads are model-specific. Check the stamp model before ordering a new spare pad.

Production & Delivery

1 Working Day Standard production period for the online COLOP Standard Stamp configuration.
Final Artwork Required Incorrect model size or unsuitable artwork may affect completion.
Delivery Is Additional Courier delivery or self-collection takes place after production is completed.
