3M Greybase Sticker for Vehicle Body Applications

The current material option is specifically 3M Greybase Sticker – Good Quality. Grey-backed adhesive vinyl is useful when the sticker needs better opacity over coloured vehicle paint or existing graphics.

For best adhesion, apply to a clean, dry, smooth and stable surface. Wax, polish, ceramic coating, dust, grease, textured plastics and damaged paint can reduce adhesion. Test specialty surfaces before a larger order.

  • PNG may be used when sufficiently high resolution.
  • Prepare artwork at actual size, 1:1 scale.
  • Use CMYK colour mode.
Resolution
  • Use approximately 300 DPI for raster images at final size.
  • Avoid screenshots, compressed social-media images and low-resolution logos.
  • Outline or embed fonts.
  • Check small contact details at actual print size.
Bleed & Safe Area
  • Current guideline requests 3mm bleed around the artwork.
  • Keep important text and logos at least 3–5mm inside the cut edge.
  • Extend background graphics into the bleed area.
  • Keep QR codes away from complex contour-cut edges.
Custom Shape Cut Line
  • Provide a clean vector cut line on a separate layer.
  • Current guideline accepts a magenta cut stroke or a layer named “Cut”.
  • Avoid extremely small points, narrow bridges and overly complex contours.
  • Keep the cut line clear of important artwork.
Curved Vehicle Surfaces
  • This product is best for flat or gently curved surfaces.
  • Compound curves can cause lifting or distortion.
  • Measure the actual application area before ordering.
  • For difficult curves, test a sample or use a dedicated conformable vehicle-wrap material.

  • Confirm width, height and quantity in millimetres.
  • Confirm the final cut-out shape.
