Choose the Plastic Material

Micron refers to material thickness. GSM refers to material weight per square metre. These measurements describe different properties and should not be used interchangeably.

Thinnest White Option PET–PVC Synthetic White 125 Micron (160gsm)                

A thin and flexible white synthetic card suitable for lightweight business cards, inserts and promotional use.

Medium White Option PET–PVC Synthetic White 200 Micron (280gsm)                

A medium-thickness white synthetic card offering more substance than the 125-micron option.

Thickest White Option PET–PVC Synthetic White 275 Micron (380gsm)                

The thickest standard white material currently available within this plastic business-card product.

Semi-Transparent Option Frosted Trace PVC 260 Micron (300gsm)                

A frosted, semi-transparent plastic material for minimalist designs and distinctive visual effects.

  • Semi-transparent frosted appearance
  • Suitable for simple, high-contrast artwork
  • Not the same as fully clear transparent plastic
These plastic business cards remain thinner and more flexible than standard 0.76mm membership or bank-style PVC cards.

Printing and Lamination Options

Full-Colour Single-Sided Print artwork on the main card face.
Full-Colour Both Sides Print separate front and back artwork.
No Lamination Retains the selected material's original surface.
Matte Lamination – Both Sides Provides a smoother, lower-reflection finish.
Gloss Lamination – Both Sides Provides a shinier and more reflective finish.
Sharp or Rounded Corners Choose sharp corners or four rounded corners.
Rounded corners are selectable rather than automatically included. Confirm the required corner option before ordering.

Important Information for Frosted Cards

Semi-Transparent Background The material behind unprinted areas remains visible.
White Ink Is Not Listed Do not assume that white artwork will print as opaque white.
Use High Contrast Darker logos and text normally provide clearer visibility.
Check Both-Sided Layouts Front and back artwork may be visible through the semi-transparent material.
Avoid Very Fine Text Use readable text sizes and clear graphic elements.
Confirm Colour-Critical Work Printed colour appearance can differ from printing on opaque white material.
When opaque white ink or a white backing layer is required, confirm availability before ordering because it is not displayed as a standard product option.

Material Care and Durability

Water-Resistant Material More suitable for contact with moisture than ordinary paper business cards.
Tear-Resistant Construction Plastic material does not tear as easily as paper card.
Suitable for Repeated Handling Useful for cards that are carried or handled frequently.
Avoid describing the cards as scratch-proof, fade-proof or indestructible. Printed surfaces may still show wear, scratching or colour changes depending on handling, storage and exposure.

Artwork Preparation Guidelines

Submit complete print-ready artwork matching the selected size, printing sides and material.

File Format and Colour
  • PDF is the preferred print-ready format.
  • AI files may also be submitted.
  • Prepare colour artwork in CMYK mode.
  • Images should be approximately 300 DPI at final printing size.
  • Convert fonts to outlines or embed them correctly.
Size, Bleed and Safe Area
  • Prepare artwork at the exact size selected during ordering.
  • Add 3mm bleed when the background reaches the card edge.
  • Extend background colours and images through the bleed.
  • Keep important text and logos at least 3–5mm inside the trimming edge.
  • Avoid thin borders positioned close to the edge.
Single- and Both-Sided Files
  • Upload one front file for single-sided printing.
  • Upload clearly labelled front and back files for both-sided printing.
  • Check the back artwork orientation before submission.
  • Consider visibility through Frosted Trace PVC when designing both sides.
Multiple Designs
  • The minimum quantity applies to each design.
  • Different names or artwork versions are separate designs.
  • Additional jobs may use the same specifications and quantity with different artwork.
  • One selected quantity cannot be divided among several designs.
Artwork Submission
  • Upload complete artwork before 5:00 PM to avoid affecting the production schedule.
  • Place multiple supporting files into one ZIP file.
  • Include the order number when submitting artwork later.
  • Late payment or incomplete artwork may delay production.
Before Approving Production
  • Confirm the correct material and thickness.
  • Confirm single- or both-sided printing.
  • Confirm the lamination option.
  • Confirm sharp or rounded corners.
  • Check all names and contact information.
  • Test QR codes from the final exported artwork.

What is the minimum order quantity?
The current product starts from 100 pieces per design. Different artwork versions require separate quantities.
What card size is available?
The current direct-order size is 85 × 55mm.
What plastic materials are available?
Choose white PET–PVC synthetic material in 125, 200 or 275 micron, or Frosted Trace PVC at 260 micron.
Is fully clear transparent plastic available?
Fully clear transparent plastic is not currently shown in the calculator. Frosted Trace PVC provides a semi-transparent frosted appearance.
Can plastic cards be printed on both sides?
Yes. Choose full-colour single-sided or full-colour both-sided printing.
What lamination options are available?
Choose no lamination, matte lamination on both sides or gloss lamination on both sides.
Are rounded corners included?
Rounded corners are optional. Choose sharp corners or four rounded corners.
Can I add member names or serial numbers?
Personalised names, serial numbering and barcode data are not standard options for this product. Use the relevant Membership Card product for variable-data cards.
How long does production take?
The current product option lists two working days for production. Delivery or collection time is additional.
Is white ink included on frosted plastic?
White ink is not shown as a standard product option. Confirm separately when an opaque white backing or white printed element is required.
