Choose matte or gloss lamination for the hard cover.

The calculator does not state a 2mm board thickness or a 310gsm wrapping-stock specification. Do not publish those figures unless they are confirmed in the product administration.

Cover Printing and Lamination

Full Colour – Single Sided Supply the cover faces required by the current single-sided hard-cover template.
Full Colour – Both Sides Supply every outside and inside cover face indicated by the both-sided template.
Matte Lamination – Front and Back Provides a smoother and lower-reflection cover appearance.
Gloss Lamination – Front and Back Provides a shinier cover appearance with stronger reflection.

Artwork Preparation Guidelines

Prepare the hard-cover artwork and inner pages as separate print-ready files using the official A5 Wire-O templates.

Recommended File Formats
  • PDF is recommended for final print artwork.
  • AI and EPS files are also accepted.
  • Place multiple related files into one ZIP file when required.
  • Keep the cover and inner-page files clearly separated and labelled.
A5 Size and Orientation
  • Finished notebook size is A5 portrait, 148 × 210mm.
  • Use the current hard-cover template rather than building the cover from the finished page size.
  • Confirm the Wire-O binding edge before finalising the design.
Bleed and Trim Safe Area
  • Add 3mm bleed where artwork reaches the trimming edge.
  • Extend background colours and images completely through the bleed.
  • Keep important text and logos at least 5mm inside trim edges.
Wire-O Binding Margin
  • Leave approximately 10mm clear along the Wire-O binding edge.
  • Keep logos, text, page numbers and QR codes away from punched holes.
  • Apply the correct binding margin to every inner page.
Cover Artwork
  • Prepare cover artwork in CMYK.
  • Use images at approximately 300 DPI at production size.
  • Supply all cover faces required by the selected printing option.
  • Do not use a generic perfect-bound spine layout unless the official Wire-O template shows it.
Inner-Page Artwork
  • Prepare inner pages in grayscale or suitable black-only artwork.
  • Arrange pages in normal reading order.
  • Include deliberate blank pages where required.
  • Confirm that the final content totals 160 pages.
Fonts and Images
  • Outline or embed all fonts.
  • Embed all linked images.
  • Avoid low-resolution graphics copied from websites or messaging applications.
  • Check small text at the final printed size.
Separate Cover and Inner Files
  • Label the cover file clearly.
  • Supply inner pages in their final reading order.
  • Place supporting artwork into one ZIP file when necessary.
  • Include the order number when submitting files after checkout.
Basic Artwork Check
  • A basic check may cover size, margins, page order, binding clearance and colour setup.
  • It is not a full design, pagination or proofreading service.
  • Customers remain responsible for spelling, dates, contact information and page content.
