Die Cut Board Artwork Guidelines

Upload final print-ready artwork that already includes the artwork and vector cut line in the same file. The cut line should clearly show the final shape to be produced.

Recommended File Format
  • PDF is preferred; AI is also recommended.
  • Prepare artwork at actual size, 1:1 scale.
  • Use CMYK colour mode.
  • Outline or embed all fonts.
Image Resolution
  • 300 DPI is recommended at final size.
  • 150 DPI is the current minimum guideline.
  • Use high-resolution photos, logos and product images.
  • Avoid screenshots and low-resolution web graphics.
Vector Cut Line
  • Create the die-cut line as a vector path.
  • Place it on a separate layer and name it clearly, such as Cut Line.
  • Use a spot colour and thin stroke with no fill.
  • Do not rasterize the cut line.
Bleed & Safe Area
  • Extend background colours and images at least 3mm outside the cut line.
  • Keep important text and logos approximately 5–10mm inside the cut line.
  • Use extra safe space around curved shapes, faces and narrow areas.
  • Keep important elements away from sharp points and small cut sections.
Complex Custom Shapes
  • Avoid extremely thin arms, narrow bridges and fragile pointed sections.
  • Use smooth vector curves where possible.
  • Keep facial features and important logos away from the cutting edge.
  • Use one main cut line unless separate pieces are intentionally required.
Multiple Designs
  • Upload one final artwork file per order item.
  • Use Add Item for another design with the same specification and quantity.
  • Do not split one selected quantity across unrelated designs.
  • Use a ZIP file when one job requires linked or supporting artwork files.

A stand is not part of the current direct-order Die Cut Board option. Arrange a compatible display stand separately when your setup requires one.
What artwork file should I upload?
PDF is preferred, with AI also suitable. Use CMYK artwork at actual size and include a vector cut line on a separate layer.
How much bleed and safe area should I prepare?
Extend artwork at least 3mm beyond the cut line and keep important text/logos about 5–10mm inside the cut line.
How is the finished board delivered?
