Supply complete print-ready artwork that matches the size, page count and printing options selected in your order. Image Magic provides printing and basic technical file checking; design, layout editing and proofreading are not included.

File Format & Page Order

PDF is the preferred print-ready format.
Submit one complete multi-page PDF where possible.
Arrange pages in normal reading order from the front cover to the back cover.
Do not impose the pages or create printer spreads yourself.
Include required blank pages in their correct positions.
Make sure the PDF page count matches the page count selected online.

Page Count & Cover Sequence

The selected total page count includes all cover and content pages.
Saddle stitch page counts must be divisible by four.
Include the front cover, inside front cover, inside back cover and back cover in the correct sequence.
Add blank pages if needed to reach the selected valid page count.
Do not submit extra pages that are not included in the order specification.

Size, Bleed & Safe Area

Prepare every page at the selected finished size at 1:1 scale.
Add approximately 3mm bleed wherever artwork extends to the trimmed edge.
Extend background colours and edge-to-edge images through the bleed.
Keep important text and logos at least 5mm inside the trimming edge.
Keep important content clear of the centre fold and staple area.

Colour, Images & Fonts

Prepare colour artwork in CMYK colour mode.
Select the black-and-white printing option when monochrome output is required.
Images should be approximately 300dpi at their final printed size.
Embed fonts correctly or convert them to outlines before final export.
Embed linked images and graphics in the final print-ready PDF.
Printed colours may differ from colours displayed on a backlit screen.

Saddle stitching is a booklet-binding method where folded printed sheets are collated and secured through the centre fold with staples. This product uses machine folding and collating followed by saddle stitch binding with two staples and trimming.

What is the minimum order quantity?

The minimum order is 10 books per design. Different artwork versions should be ordered as separate designs rather than dividing one minimum quantity among several files.

How many pages can I order?

The current calculator lists 8, 12, 16, 20, 24, 28, 32, 36, 40, 44, 48, 52, 56 and 60 pages. The selected page count includes the cover.

Why do booklet page counts increase by four?

Saddle stitch booklets are produced from folded sheets. Each folded sheet creates four booklet pages, so the total page count must be a multiple of four.

Can I print the booklet in full colour or black and white?

Yes. The current calculator includes full-colour and black-and-white printing choices for the cover, together with full-colour or black-and-white printing on both sides of the inside pages.

Can I use FSC paper for my booklet?

The calculator includes listed Conservation FSC paper choices under the Recycled & Eco Booklet group. Select the exact stock required and confirm any specific certification or logo requirement before ordering.

Is Conqueror paper available for contract or corporate booklets?

Selected Conqueror Brilliant White Wove 100gsm and Laid 100gsm options are listed in the product configuration. Availability for cover or inside pages depends on the calculator and selected booklet combination.

Can the cover be matte or gloss laminated?

Compatible cover papers may offer no lamination, matte lamination or gloss lamination, with front-only or both-sided choices depending on the selected paper and configuration.

Can the inside pages be laminated?

The product setup includes Not Required, Matte Lamination (Both Sided) and Gloss Lamination (Both Sided) for content finishing. These options are only shown when compatible with the selected inside paper and booklet specification.

How should I arrange my booklet PDF?

Submit the PDF in normal reading order from the front cover to the back cover. Do not create printer spreads or impose the booklet pages yourself.

What bleed should I add to the booklet artwork?

Add approximately 3mm bleed on edges where artwork extends to the trim, and keep important text and logos at least 5mm inside the finished trimming edge.
